The Paternoster Hotel is rich in history, tradition and oldens day charm. We are situated on the West Coast of South Africa in the beautiful fishing village of Paternoster – 145km north of Cape Town.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with a personal touch. The main beach and shops are only a minute’s walk from the hotel.

There is also a fully equipped self-catering house (Buona Sera) with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 6 people available for those who prefer more privacy. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week to hotel guests and day visitors. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. We prepare delicious seafood dishes, from which our specialty is Crayfish. We stock a varied selection of local wines to make anyone’s taste buds happy.

About the owner

Paternoster Hotel is a family run business. First, run by Johan Carosini and after retirement his son Giorello Carosini took over the reins. They love to welcome any and all guests across the platform.

Cancellation Policy

We may impose a cancellation fee in the event of cancellation. The cancellation fee will depend on the nature of the booking, length of notice of
cancellation and reasonable potential to find alternative customers. The following reasonable charges will apply :

• Less than 7 days, forfeit the full amount paid
• From 7-14 days, forfeit 75% of the full amount paid
• From 14-21 days, forfeit 50% of the full amount paid
• From 21-28 days, forfeit 25% of the full amount paid
• Before 28 days, forfeit 10% full amount paid
  • Failure to arrive on the booking date the client will be responsible for the full account.
  • In the event of a premature departure the full extent of the stay, as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged.

Please note

No cash refunds in the event of a cancellation. If we accept the cancellation the refund will be transferred into your bank account within 14 days from the date of receiving written confirmation of your banking details.
