Blaauwberg House a self-catering house, situated in the original ‘village’ suburb of Bloubergstrand, about 25 minutes drive from Cape Town CBD.

Welcome to our self-catering beach-front family house with uninterrupted sea views & the ocean in your ears! The ocean is right on your doorstep & you have a wide selection of restaurants & attractions within close walking distance.

Great news: Uncapped Fibre / Wifi is now available and we have an inverter for laptops & cellphone charging.

We have a big patio with a barbecue, outdoor seating and lovely sea views. The house features a secure street-facing double garage with direct access to the house.

Space
The house sleeps 6 and has all the necessary amenities with a rustic beach house theme. It’s perfect for family holidays, couples or friends wanting to take it easy.

Two sea-facing double rooms (one with en-suite) and one twin street-facing room.

A third sunroom is available on the lower level with a built-in double bed that can accommodate guests under 6ft. We only prepare this with bedding on request.

The upper lounge is sunny and large (two large couches and ample comfy sofa and normal chairs) with beautiful sea views that flow from an open plan kitchen and dining area with large 8 seater table.

The ‘sunroom’ also has ample seating and that built-in double bed lounger is heavenly for ‘after-barbecue’ naps…

The kitchen is fully equipped (including a dishwasher) and also includes a clothing washer (with dry racks available in the garage).

There are some kids’ beach toys & fishing nets that will provide countless hours’ worth of enjoyment on the beach and around the rock pools in front of the house (please use at own risk of course).

Ons Huisie restaurant is highly recommended and provides a range of authentic South African (and conventional) food and has a wonderful breakfast menu with excellent service. It’s just outside the front of the house and on special request if you make friends with the manager they will serve you on the patio!

Guests have access to the full self-catering house and its amenities. The patio is lovely for sunny windless evenings or to get your tan on during the day and full barbecue facilities are available.
Interaction with guests
Our booking manager, will meet you and arrange to give you keys and access details for security to make the rest of your stay easier. You can arrange with Ingrid for any cleaning requirements you need (extra fee as arranged), and she can help you with inquiries. If anything is wrong or missing, or you have other needs, Ingrid will help and she can help arrange transfers and day tours too.
