Bloubergstrand is a suburb about 25 minutes drive from central Cape Town. It’s well known for the beautiful view of Table Mountain (one of the official 7 wonders of the world) and pristine white sandy beaches where world class kite surfing competitions are held (like the Red Bull King of the Air every February).

Bloubergstrand is also home to some historic landmarks and the legendary Blue Peter Hotel where you can view summer sunsets with an ice cold beer & pizza.

Bloubergstrand is home to some beautiful beaches like Kite Beach, Small Bay, Big Bay, Eerste Steen and Derde Steen. You can walk or jog for many kilometers along the Blouberg Beachfront promenade and this is a big tourist attraction for surfers and kite surfers.

Best time to visit Bloubergstrand

The best time to visit Bloubergstrand is during summer, from November to March (and even April). In order to avoid disappointment, it’s usually best to book at least 3 – 6 months in advance, especially if you are booking summer holiday rentals.
