Dunvegan is a wonderful Villa set on the mountain above the Clovelly Golf Course, Clovelly, Fish Hoek, with stunning views over the golf course and Fish Hoek valley to the distant Atlantic ocean and with the Silvermine Nature Reserve on our back border.
The Villa is very central to all the tourist attractions and is in a safe and lovely area. It is a 35-minute drive from the lodge to Cape Point and 35 minutes to Cape Town city, the Waterfront, etc and the Wine Route in other directions so it is a great base to explore the different areas of Cape Town. It is about a 15-minute drive to Boulders Beach and Simonstown and 40 minutes to the Wine Route. Hout Bay is 20 minutes drive away. The safe swimming beach of Fish Hoek is a mere 10-minute walk away and from July to December Clovelly beach is a popular Southern Right whale viewing point.
We often rent out the lodge as a Villa to golfing groups and extended families and have received nothing but praise from all of them as to how much they enjoyed the facilities we offer and how well the house works with a big group. Once they are here they will want to stay longer or return time and time again. It really is lovely here!

All bedrooms consist of the following:

They open onto private patios, with magnificent views across Fish Hoek valley.
There is an espresso coffee machine for guest usage in the main lounge. Plus a couple of espresso coffee machines in some of the units.
Rooms and units are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays.
Our lodge has a lovely flow to the outside and the solar heated pool which means it is also so nice to just stay here and relax. The Jacuzzi which is set in our garden is always lovely and warm and an absolute pleasure to be in during sunsets and as it gets dark and all the lights in the valley come on.
There are some really lovely restaurants 5 minutes’ drive away – some which are set right above the rocks.

Downstairs area
Bay Suite consists of a lovely big bedroom with a king-size bed (or can be split into 2 singles) and a full en-suite bathroom with bath and showers a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a large lovely wooden deck with outdoor furniture.
Pool Suite consists of a lovely big bedroom with a king-size bed (or can be split into 2 singles) and an en-suite bathroom with shower a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a lovely balcony with outdoor furniture and a view over the pool and towards the golf club. (The bedroom is large and it is possible for us to add in an extra bed if needed)
Main house – Middle area of the house
Contents of the middle floor
A big family room which is open-plan to the dining room and kitchen. This room has sliding doors onto the main front balcony that has a stunning view over the golf course, the Fish Hoek valley, and the distant Atlantic ocean. The family room also has a sliding door leading into a lovely “honest” pub/bar which also has a fridge and has sliding doors onto the back patio, which faces the mountain. The kitchen is fully fitted with a large fridge/freezer, stove, microwave and dishwasher.
A separate TV lounge with a fireplace, VCR and DVD player. This Lounge has a sliding door opening onto the main wooden deck on the one side and on the other side there is a small breakfast room leading from it.
2 large bedrooms
1 luxurious bedroom with a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a double shower and bath. This bedroom has a beautiful bay window in the front and also has sliding doors opening onto the main balcony.
1 double bedroom with two single beds and a private bathroom with a shower only. This room has sliding doors onto a small sunroom sitting area with tea/coffee facilities. The sunroom faces the mountain and has 2 sleeper couches.
African ATTIC separate self-contained flat

Lounge/dining room and kitchenette combined with sliding doors onto a deck facing the mountain with outdoor furniture and barbeque facility and lovely views of the mountain. Two en-suite bedrooms, one on either side of the lounge. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath. The other bedroom has twin beds with an en-suite bathroom (shower only). It is possible to add another bed into the twin room if needed. Both bedrooms have windows facing the mountain.
Separate STUDIO flat
Sleeps 2
A bedroom with twin beds (which can be made up into a king-size bed on request) and comfortable chairs. The room has sliding doors onto a patio which is partly enclosed and has a roof over it with outdoor furniture and views across the garden and swimming pool and Fish Hoek Valley. En-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Small kitchenette with fridge and microwave.
Separate one bedroomed cottage

consists of a lovely bedroom with a king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower a separate private lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. The lounge has sliding doors out onto a large lovely wooden deck with outdoor furniture.
Please Note:
- We prefer a minimum stay 7 nights for the exclusive Villa during the year and 10 days over the peak time for Christmas and New Year period.
- We do not rent the house out for functions and parties.
- Rates determined and negotiated according to the season, number of people and duration of the stay.
- Rates from R6000 (low season) and from R9000 to R11 000 (peak season).
