Carmichael Guesthouse is a superb Victorian mansion situated in the Rosebank / Rondebosch suburbs of Cape Town where guests are always reluctant to leave behind the warmth and ambiance of this refined bed & breakfast. The exquisitely renovated home displays rare charming style with original stained glass windows, Oregon pine floors and Victorian fireplaces, all impeccably maintained. They offer four-star luxury Cape Town accommodation with 6 tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, all en-suite. All are generously spacious and luxuriously finished in keeping with the Victorian features. Most rooms overlook our private and lush gardens. Carmichael offers a peaceful lush garden and a perfect resting place on lounge chairs by the sparkling swimming pool.

The guesthouse also offers a full English Breakfast and Continental Buffet is served in the sunny veranda. Breakfast is included in the room rate

Valérie and Yves had been browsing the internet for eight long years, looking for the long dreamed of lodge or guest house.

“After a couple of tries in Mpumalanga (close to the Kruger Park), we then started looking at the Western Cape. We eventually came across the property of our dreams!… Just outside Cape Town, in a lovely and peaceful area. After the much red tape, we happily became the official owners of Carmichael Guesthouse in September 2010!

Since then we have refurbished and upgraded many parts of the house, and we continue working tirelessly to make Carmichael Guest House a warm and memorable visit for all our guests. We look forward to welcoming you.”

Ideally situated on the backdrop of Table Mountain, Carmichael Guesthouse is 10 min away from Cape Town city center and 15 min from Cape Town International Airport.

Literally within walking distance to the University of Cape Town (UCT). Carmichael Guesthouse is highly appreciated by academics or parents visiting students.

The Guesthouse is very central. Nearby lie Cape Town’s most famous tourist attractions such as Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Robben Island, Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek in the Winelands and many more…Golf courses, Cricket and Rugby Stadiums are also just around the corner.

For operational reasons, we reserve the right to move you to another room of similar standards.

Rates:  are based on the number of guests/room sharing and include VAT & breakfast (not redeemable). All rates are subject to change without notice unless previously confirmed.

Children policy:  we accept children from 6 years and older only. Consult us for the rates.

Settlement:

1-night reservation settled in full on acceptance of the booking
As from 2 nights onward, 50% deposit of total amount on acceptance of the booking, balance on arrival
Credit cards accepted (MasterCard, Visa, Diners & Amex)
Payment of the deposit secures the booking and assumes unconditional agreement to these terms

In the event of delayed arrival and/or a premature departure, the full extent of the stay which was originally booked and confirmed will become payable.
