Just 8 km outside of the peaceful town of Lambert’s Bay, built into a rock formation located on the farm Steenbokfontein, you will find the beautiful Weskus Grotjie. It is perfect for couples looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

This open-plan unit consists of the following:

a kitchenette
sleeping area
a small dining table
en-suite bathroom

In the year 1901, the Sybille gunboat washed out on the shore and the wood of it was used to build the queen-size bed at Weskus Grotjiie and is found in the furnished sleeping area. Breathtaking views of the farm and ocean can be expected from the bathroom area. The bathroom has a large, spacious bathtub and a shower that is built into the rock formation and all bath towels, linen, and Rooibos soap are provided.

The kitchenette is equipped with the following:

a fridge
2-plate store
mini-oven
crockery
kettle
cutlery

Leading from the unit is a verandah with an outdoor table with benches and a braai drum on wheels. The nearest town is 8 km away, which enables guests to buy enough wood and groceries supplies during their stay at Weskus Grotjie.

Please note

This is a breakaway from the city life with a unique view of the ocean in front of you. There is no TV in this unit, guests are to enjoy the sound of waves, birds, tame sheep, and the crisp fresh air.

The Steenbokfontein Sea Farm Kitchen/Plaaskombuis is also on the farm for fresh baked bread and jam. If you are interested, please contact Kitta Burger for the restaurant on the farm. Guests will also spot beautiful animals and plants during their stay at the farm has a unique history of bushman caves/walking around on the farm.

Guests are to please use the water and electricity with respect to nature and the farm. Weskus Hokkie also asks that the guest do not litter on the farm or in nature and please do not use the furniture or bedding without respect. There are lanterns for the candles in the unit. Please do not put the candles on the rocks.

Weskus Hokkie tries to ambiance the nature and canopy of stars and farm life. Please look after our nature with love and respect.
