Built at the turn of the century and nestling in a quiet cul-de-sac at the foot of Signal Hill in Green Point. This amazing Guest House is set in a sub-tropical walled garden in the heart of urban Cape Town. Jambo is centrally situated – a safe 15-minute walk to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, while Green Point`s excellent trendy Restaurants are only 5 minutes away.

The City Centre is 4 minutes drive. Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens as well as Clifton and Camps Bay Beaches are only 10-15 minutes away. A lavish Continental Breakfast is served in the Courtyard Breakfast Room. Guests can relax in the tranquil garden with the Koi Pond and luxuriate in the heated outdoor Jacuzzi Spa.

Meet the other guests, enjoy drinks, conversation and good music in Barry`s Exclusive Bar. Mina and Barry will arrange Airport Transfers, Car Hire, Tours and Restaurant Reservations. Bed sizes are above, The sleeper couches are suitable for one person although we did a a few occasions have two teenagers share one couch.

Four luxuriously appointed en-suite double Bedrooms and the Garden Honeymoon Suite with its own Spa Bath. Each is uniquely decorated and equipped with top of the range beds.

The Hosts

Barry and Mina have been successfully running, managing and entertaining their guests for the last 22 years.

The Area/Neighborhood

We are ideally situated in a safe area. An easy 1km walk to the V&A Waterfront. Green Point Stadium is 33 meters away as is the Green Point Urban Park. Many trendy Green Point restaurants and deli’s very close.

Guest Access

Guests have access to all areas including a lush garden with solar heated Jacuzzi and Barry’s private bar.

Outside Area

A small table with chairs would be preferable with some shading available. Garden is well shaded with a koi pond and is very quiet.

Guest Interaction

We live here and pride ourselves on interacting with our guests, giving them tons of information about what to do, where to go, the best places to eat and drink and evening in our bar are wonderful.

Getting Around

Uber and metered taxis will collect guests at the door,  MyCiti bus stop is 50 meters away.

Parking

One off-street parking bay is available on the premises otherwise safe street parking.

Cleaning Arrangements

We have full-time staff and the rooms are serviced daily with a linen change as necessary for longer stays.

Cancellation Policy

• All cancellations incur a 5% penalty.
• Cancellation 30 days prior to arrival – 25% of the total is payable
• Cancellation 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the total is payable
• Cancellation 7 days prior to arrival – 100% of the total is payable

Check-in & Check-out

No lockbox is available. Check-in is between 14:00 and 18:00 and at other times by arrangement.
