About the area

Still Bay (also known as Stilbaai in Afrikaans or the Bay of Sleeping Beauty), is a town along the Southern Coast of South Africa about four hours by car from Cape Town. It is part of the Hessequa Local Municipality in the Western Cape province.

Still Bay has both swimming and surfing beaches and the surf is often world class in the area (Morris Point specifically). The breaks in the area are definiteely for the more advanced surfers when it’s big and holds up to 10ft in size easily.

Best time to visit

The best times to visit Still Bay for ideal weather is December through March, but as Sill Bay is part of the Garden Route, the weather is pretty mild all year long.
