About Paternoster

Paternoster is a small fishing community with beautiful beach views and a peculiar building style that makes the small town unique.

The area has bountiful crayfish, but please beware to not buy illegally and out of season.

This is the town to kick your feet up and relax for a romantic weekend getaway from Cape Town.

Don’t miss the colourful fishing boats on the beach, a perfect photo opportunity!

You also can’t visit Paternoster without having a drink at the Panty Bar – just ask anyone, you can’t miss it!

Best time to visit Paternoster

As with other Western Cape Town, the summer months of November through to April are probably best to visit as it’s nice and sunny.

You’ll have less wind around March/April so it’s probably a better time to visit them, but it’s a beautiful getaway.
