About Cape Town

Cape Town is a cosmopolitan city in that you can experience any type of leisure,  accommodation and food experiences that you can afford.

The incredible scenery, wine country within 30-60 minutes drive and world-class beaches make Cape Town the playground for all kinds of tourists.

Attractions are too many to mention but will fit any type of activities you can imagine.

Best time to visit Cape Town

Cape Town &  the Western Cape experiences summer from around November through March (and even April).

December through February is absolute peak season since schools are usually closed mid-December to mid-January, so local holiday-makers also flood the city from up-country. That could either be an attraction (a lot of activities, events & great night-life) or put certain travellers off.

February to April are the best months for visiting when the weather’s still good, but less local travellers are around.

If you’re travelling on a budget, winter time is not too bad for most tourists that come from colder climates as the temperature never really goes below freezing. Granted, it is a rainy season from May to September, but we’ve been troubled by major droughts which have led to water restrictions. On the upside, this means more sunny days for travellers. Prices are usually much lower in the winter though.
